Cygwin Tutorial - Integrating Cygwin into Console2 for Windows

I use Cygwin quite often, since I do quite a lot development on Windows, but I like having multiple tabs opened when having to use any type of CLI.  When on my Mac, I like having multiple tabs opened in my terminal window, and same goes for your different flavors of Linux when I need to use them.  Cygwin doesn't give you this option but Console2 does.  Well, let's put them both together to get an awesome, working solution!

Difficulty - Beginners

Shouldn't be too hard.

Gradle Tutorial - How to install Gradle on Windows

The installation instructions for Gradle on their site at http://www.gradle.org/installation is okay for a beginner, but could be better. If you followed the very simple instructions on their site, then you may have run into some trouble and would have to do some searching on the internet to find out why you weren't getting anything from typing gradle -v into the command prompt.

Bitnami Tutorial - Installing MariaDB over MySQL on a Bitnami virtual machine

This tutorial is going to explain how to install MariaDB on your Bitnami virtual machine.  Bitnami stacks come packaged with MySQL by default so in case you wanted to use MariaDB whether for work or play, hopefully this tutorial will help you.

Difficulty Level - Intermediate

If you are not familiar with using a command line tool such as PuTTY or Terminal, then this may prove to be a bit of a challenge, but I have created the instructions to be as easy as possible to follow.

Some Catching Up

It's been a crazy 3 months since I've started my new web developer job and with the projects piling up, I feel it'll get crazier in the months to come.  On top of the new job is a once-a-week night class that I'm taking this Fall called, Advanced iOS Development, which I'm taking in my spare time to catch up on iOS development and help me start learning Swift, Apple's new programming language for iOS/Mac development.  My mind hasn't been this stimulated in awhile so I'm pretty excited for my career as a developer moving forward.

New Site Design!

The new site design is up and it was easier than I had expected to move everything over to the production side. There are still a few things that need tweaking but they're minor things and you probably won't notice them. I still have to work on the responsive design piece to get that polished. Besides that, I should probably be back in full swing in regards to posting more frequent updates.
